Dear Staveley Neighbourhood Watch Members, I hope you’re well. I’m getting in touch to invite you to be part of something really positive for Staveley. We’re looking to bring members together to launch a Neighbourhood Watch that covers the whole of Staveley, supported by a small Community Board made up of local residents. The purpose of the Community Board would be to work alongside Neighbourhood Watch and local agencies to ensure Staveley’s voice is heard. This includes helping to raise and address concerns from residents, identifying areas where people feel unsafe, and working together on practical solutions to strengthen the community. There will also be opportunities to apply for funding to support local priorities, such as youth clubs, activities for children, and initiatives that help create a safer, more connected and happier place to live. We currently have up to £250 available to support the initial launch, but we do need local members to come forward to help establish and run the Watch for the wider Staveley area. We’re looking for residents who would be interested in being part of the Community Board and helping to guide this work locally. This doesn’t need to be a large time commitment — just people who care about Staveley and want to make a difference. I will support you every step of the way, including setting up the Watch, connecting with partner agencies, and applying for funding. You won’t be expected to do this alone. If you’re interested in being involved, or would simply like to find out more, I’d love to hear from you. Together, we can build a stronger, safer and more connected Staveley.
